Makiling Botanical Garden

The Makiling Botanic Gardens (MBG) in Laguna was established primarily to "support professional instruction and research related to forestry and plant sciences" of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB)-College of Forestry and Natural Resources (CFNR). Villa Escudero (map)

Villa Escudero is best to probably go to on a Fri., Sat, or Sunday so you can see the cultural show. It's a fun place to eat at the base of a waterfalls, visit their museum, or do bamboo rafting. They have other things to do there as well and it's all easy to find on the website and you can book with them directly through the website for a day tour.
